For the last two years, The Irish Fiddler and Temple Bar has held a charity golf tournament in January in memory of the late musician Billy Cleere who played for many years in O´Casey´s Bar.

Last years total of 88 participants teed off on the Las Américas Golf course including singer Daniel O´Donnell and jockey Christy Roche raising over 6500 euros for various charities including Romanian Orphan Appeal, Mulanga Mission (Zambia), Cancer Research and Cáritas a local charity for the homeless.
Daniel delighted the crowd later at the prize-giving ceremony by giving a few renditions.

A great night was had by all and plans are underway for next years event.

Next years event is to be held on 5th January 2006.
